Dr. Akhila Bhandarkar P completed her MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, MD in General Medicine from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi, and DM in Endocrinology (Gold Medallist) from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. She is currently pursuing her PhD from the University of Liège, Belgium. Since 2022, she has been an Assistant Professor and Consultant Endocrinologist at K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, with special interest in diabetes and diabetic foot care, obesity, PCOS, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and advanced diabetes technologies such as CGM and insulin pump therapy.

Dr. Akhila Bhandarkar P is an Assistant Professor and Consultant Endocrinologist at K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Mangalore, where she has been practising since 2022. She is a Gold Medallist in DM Endocrinology and is currently pursuing her PhD from the University of Liège, Belgium.
